Madama Butterfly

Madama Butterfly was very interesting. I thought the most interesting part was that the mother and daughter were attached by her umbilical cord. I also didn't understand why they flew like kites. I think the video was very abstract. I thought that it was a very powerful statement when the mother tor her body apart limb for limb. It shows the importance of family and relationships and how losing such a valuable things can literally eat you alive. My mom always say I'm the most important thing in the world to her. I can see this video figuratively describing how my mom would feel if she lost me. I think this video also emphasizes the venerability that men can sometimes make women feel when they fall in love. Women, typically more emotional then men, can fall so in love that they fail to see what was going on. I think every women can relate to the betrayal the women in the video experienced when she saw that the sailor had moved on and was in love with someone new.
